"I started martial arts at the age of 6 starrting out at a local aikido club but being a child was always interested in what the next thing would be so from Aikido I moved to Kung Fu then onto GKR, Judo, Wado Ryu, Boxing and MMA.

It was boxing where I found my rhythm and at the age of 12 I began boxing. I continued to box on and off for the next 9 years always finding myself on more than off while I trained else where.

Always coming back to boxing and studying Wado Ryu I was asked to teach the kids at a local Wado Ryu club and this quickly progressed and after a few short months I found myself running a womens only boxing class and after a short period had to find a much bigger venue, became qualified in boxercise and FightFit became a club! "

BOXERCISE - LADIES ONLY

Boxercise is one of the most effective forms of cross-training available today. It combines use of aerobic and anaerobic energy systems with the systematic recruitment of both fast and slow twitch muscle fibres. It ensures a diverse workout, enhances sport specific senses, including hand-eye co-ordination, balance and timing. Boxercise classes are always fun, energetic and addictive.

The classes are different from other boxing classes where youd be hitting the bag for 30 minutes non stop (even though not a bad way to train) Fight Fit main focus is on having fun and getting fit at the same time by using boxing principles!

The basic class break down will be warm up and the basics of boxing (foot work, punching) and we will have fun with the warm up and then move on to partnered pad work and other exercises and maybe a few circuits thrown in for good measure. The work out always changes to avoid you getting bored and plus gives you the oppurtunity to progress, the main focus of the club isn't to produce fighting machines but for you to have fun and workout at the same time.
